Welcome to VMPA!

On behalf of the FVHS Vocal Music Parent Association (VMPA), I would like to welcome you to another exciting year for the Fountain Valley High School Vocal Music Program. I am honored to serve as this year’s VMPA President. We have a year of many incredible events filled with breathtaking music, retreats, festivals, socials, and special performance. This year promises to be one that will be remembered for a long time. One major highlight will be when our Choirs storm Northern California, and the Bay Area specifically, for their California tour. This tour promises to be a trip-of-a-lifetime for our students. In addition, the choirs will be performing in concerts throughout the year including performing our Home for the Holidays concert series, the Broadway Show, and SkyScape, the finale showcase and senior recognition concert–all of which will undoubtedly entertain and impress all that attend.

The FVHS Vocal Music Program is a highly acclaimed and nationally recognized program that has won numerous awards and accolades throughout the years, including many widely acclaimed international tours and performances. The success of this program is a result of Mr. Tison’s direction and leadership along with the help of assistant directors, accompanists, musicians, production assistants and school administrators. In addition, a very important part of the success of the program is attributed to those parents, family members, and friends that assist the program through the VMPA. The VMPA is a non-profit booster program that is supported by committed parent volunteers. I am very grateful for our board members and their dedication in making sure this incredible program stays competitive and highly honored throughout the country.

I encourage you to be actively involved in the development and success of this wonderful program. I have just recently become involved in the program and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the students, parents, and school administrators. It has also been absolutely incredible to go on choir tours and attend concerts with beautiful music in impressive cathedrals and concert halls. I hope that you will seek opportunities to serve on the VMPA Board, contribute your time or resources and be an “up-close” supporter of this prestigious program.
